The Reflector · The open chart, the Moon its only clock.

Every other type in the system runs on something that stays switched on. The Reflector runs on nothing that does. In the engine that assembles the chart, a centre only defines when a full channel lights on both of its gates; for a Reflector no channel ever completes, so the defined set comes back empty and all nine centres stay open. The engine names it plainly: definition none, type Reflector.

That emptiness is the entire mechanic, and the system reads it as openness rather than deficiency. With nothing fixed to run on, the bodygraph samples the sky instead. The Moon crosses all sixty-four gates in roughly twenty-eight days, waking each centre in turn and passing on, which is why the authority here is called Lunar and the strategy is to wait a full lunar cycle before any decision that carries weight. It reads less like a rule and more like the time one person needs to feel a choice from every angle before it is theirs.

A type is a strategy, never a rank, and this is the rarest strategy the system describes, close to one chart in a hundred. Practitioners read the Reflector as a mirror of wherever it stands: a healthy company and the glass shines, a sick room and it clouds. Honor the timing and the signature is Surprise. Rush a Reflector into other people’s certainty and the not-self theme is Disappointment. The gift and the warning are one fact, that most of what a Reflector shows you is you.
