Lunar Authority · Deciding across a full lunar cycle

Authority is the engine’s answer to one question: when a choice matters, which part of the body gets the last word? The bodygraph resolves it mechanically, walking a fixed order of defined centres and stopping at the first it meets. Solar Plexus, then Sacral, then Spleen, then Heart, then the G; a chart with none of these defined falls through to a mental reading. Lunar authority sits apart from that queue, because it is what the chart lands on when nothing enters it.

That chart is the Reflector: a bodygraph with no centre defined, all nine open. With no fixed inner signal to consult, no wave, no gut, no splenic hit, no steady will, the decision cannot come from a constant the person does not carry. So the timekeeper moves outside the body, to the Moon.

With nothing constant inside, the Moon keeps the time.

The engine tests for this case first, since a Reflector’s empty chart would otherwise slip past every centre check below it, catching on nothing. Handled on its own, it still sits at the floor of the seven. The system holds that a Reflector decides well across a full lunar cycle, near twenty-eight days, as the transiting sky moves through the open chart and lights each centre in turn.

The choice is sampled from every mood the month lends. The gift is the clearest mirror in the room, a person who reads a place by becoming it. The shadow is wearing that room’s mood as one’s own, and choosing under pressure before the cycle has closed. The tradition reads a life lived this way as surprise, the same question answering itself a month on.
