Mūlādhāra · Root

Mūlādhāra sits at the base of the spine, the root, and in the shared chakra system it is the seat of earth, of survival and the ground a person stands on. Its name means root support. The Matrix of Destiny sets it at the foot of the ladder, the seventh and lowest rung, and names the life-area there Body: health, the material foundation, the instinct to survive, and plain groundedness. It is the rung the whole ladder rests on.

The reading runs in three columns here as at every rung. Physics carries the outer line, the body itself, its health and its footing in the material world. Energy carries the inner line, the sense of safety, the drive to hold ground. Emotions is where the two meet, how secure or unsettled the base feels. Read across, they show where a person is rooted and where the ground gives way.

Classically the root is read first, because a ladder is only as steady as the rung it stands on.

At ease the center reads as a body trusted and a footing that holds, security that needs no constant proof. Its shadow is fear worn as caution, hoarding, a ground defended past the point of living on it. The Matrix keeps this as a map of where energy runs clear or clogs, a diagnostic, never a sentence passed on the person.
