Reading
The Matrix octagram is an eight-pointed figure, two squares laid over each other, and its long diagonals cross at the center. The tradition reads one of those diagonals as the male line, the descent traced down the father’s side. The points strung along it are treated as the paternal inheritance, the temperament and the unfinished work a school says the father’s branch hands on.
Read the line for pattern rather than for people. It names what one branch of a family is thought to carry forward, a debt, a gift, a shape that keeps recurring, and where that shape asks to be met instead of passed along unchanged. The Matrix holds this as inheritance and tendency, the program a chart runs, never a proven account of anyone’s actual ancestors.
A line is read as what a branch carries, held as pattern, not as a verdict on the ones who carried it.
