Wealth, resources, sustenance; the sign split between the Sun and the Moon.
Reading
The Horā is the D2, the two-part chart, each sign cut at its midpoint into a solar half and a lunar half. In an odd sign the first fifteen degrees fall to Leo, the Sun’s horā, and the second fifteen to Cancer, the Moon’s; in an even sign the order reverses. It governs wealth, resources, and sustenance, what a person draws on to keep living.
On the counting the schools mostly agree, though a few texts order the reversal for even signs differently; Parāśara’s version is the one most charts follow. A planet in the solar half is classically read as resource drawn through effort and standing, in the lunar half as resource received, held, and given out again.
The Sun’s half earns; the Moon’s half sustains.
The Horā is a thin chart, only two signs used across the whole zodiac, so it is read narrowly, for the texture of resource rather than the sum of fortune. The tradition reads it for how sustenance comes, not for how much. No page here counts anyone’s money.
