Reading

Adhi yoga forms when the natural benefics, Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury, occupy the sixth, seventh, and eighth houses counted from the Moon. They need not crowd into one house; the tradition reads the yoga from benefics holding that short arc just past the Moon, the stretch the classical texts treat as its guard.

Where it holds, the reading is leadership, sound health, and a prosperity that arrives without much drama. Older texts reach for the language of rank and command, ministers and kings, which lands now as standing and steadiness rather than a literal throne.

A weak benefic in the right house still names the yoga and still gives almost nothing.

The yoga is only ever as good as the benefics that make it. Combust, weak, or afflicted, they carry little, and it is a daśā of the forming planets that activates whatever is there. The tradition holds a potential, not a promise. A strong Adhi yoga is worth noting; a nominal one is a line on the page.
