A cross keyed to Gate 7 puts the personality Sun in the G Centre, the seat of identity and direction. Its programming partner is Gate 13 on the opposite face of the wheel, so the Sun-Earth axis of this whole family holds at 7/13: the one who points the way and the one who gathers the story, bound in a single line. Both gates carry the same Right Angle name, the Cross of the Sphinx, the riddle-keeper who guards the question of where a life is headed.

The I Ching reads hexagram 7 as The Army: a mass of people held in order by one figure they trust, a general who leads from inside the ranks rather than above them. Water gathered within the earth. Order that holds because it is followed, not because it is forced.

The three angles turn that role three ways. The Right Angle Cross of the Sphinx is a life largely about its own becoming, working out by trial what it means to offer a direction others will agree to walk. The Juxtaposition Cross of Interaction narrows to one fixed lane, a single steady note: the meeting itself, self meeting other, sounded again and again. The Left Angle Cross of Masks belongs to the collective, transpersonal and entangled, a study of the faces identity puts on when it steps into a room. The system holds all three as costumes for one journey, never a verdict on the person wearing them.
