Cross 9 · The incarnation crosses carried by a Gate 9 Sun

Gate 9 sits in the Sacral center, the engine of sustained life force, and its root is hexagram 9 of the I Ching, the Taming Power of the Small. Wind works across the face of heaven, dense clouds that gather and hold their rain, the great held in check by something patient and small. The gate reads as focus: sacral energy trained on one detail until it accumulates into enough force to move a whole design. Across the bodygraph it pairs with Gate 52 in the Root as the channel of Concentration, fuel meeting stillness.

The power of the small to determine the great.

An incarnation cross names a life’s larger theme. It is built from the polar axis the Sun and Earth held at birth, and the same axis eighty-eight degrees of solar arc earlier. When the Sun falls in Gate 9, the cross carries the flavor of detail made load-bearing, and the system sorts it by angle.
