Cross 6 · Eden, Conflict, and the Plane: the three fates of the sixth gate.

Every incarnation cross is keyed to the Sun gate a life is built around, and here that gate is the sixth, seated in the Solar Plexus, the center the system reads as emotional. Gate 6 forms the channel of Mating with gate 59 in the Sacral, so its raw material is intimacy and the friction that guards it: a wall that opens and closes, deciding who comes close.

The I Ching names the sixth hexagram Sung, Conflict. Heaven pulls upward and water sinks, two motions that will not agree, and the friction between them is the whole figure. Wilhelm reads it as counsel toward caution, meeting opposition without forcing the crossing. Carried into the bodygraph, this becomes emotional friction as both the price and the proof of closeness.

The family holds three angles. The Right Angle Cross of Eden turns the gate inward, a life largely about its own process, the keeping of a garden, an ideal of harmony mostly worked out in private. The Juxtaposition Cross of Conflict is the narrow lane, a fixed fate that meets the world at its edge, the friction itself made into a purpose. The Left Angle Cross of the Plane runs transpersonal, a life entangled with others across a wider field, the emotional wall put to work for something larger than one heart.

Practitioners hold the gift as discernment about closeness, and the shadow as friction mistaken for connection, or a peace bought too cheaply. The wall that decides who comes close is the same wall that lets them in.
