Cross 45 · The gatherer's throne, held only by consent
The throat that gathers a tribe and its wealth, natural dominion held only as long as the tribe consents to be ruled.
Reading
Gate 45 sits in the Throat, the center of voice and manifestation, and it speaks a single claim: mine. It runs down to the Heart through the Money Line, the channel of gate 21 to 45, so the will to own and the voice to claim are wired into one line. This is the throat of the tribe, the one who holds the common store and says who eats.

The I Ching names its hexagram Gathering Together: the king who comes to the temple, the people who assemble around him. The lake gathers on the earth and the water pools; a leader draws in what would otherwise scatter. The system reads gate 45 the same way, as natural dominion, the gatherer holding a community and its wealth in one hand. The gift is a rulership others consent to. The shadow is that same hand closing, possession that hoards where it could distribute.
The cross family carries three angles, each a different bargain with that authority. The Right Angle Cross of Rulership is a life spent learning to hold the throne on its own terms, dominion worked out from the inside. The Juxtaposition Cross of Possession keeps to a narrow lane, fixed on the bare fact of having, one note struck again and again. The Left Angle Cross of Confrontation turns the gate outward, a life entangled with others, where rule is only ever proven in the meeting.
A throne means nothing until the tribe agrees to gather around it.
