Cross 10 · The Vessel of Love, Behavior, and Prevention: the tenth gate carried on three angles.

Every incarnation cross is keyed to the Sun gate a life is built around, and here that gate is the tenth, seated in the G Centre, the seat of identity and direction. Gate 10 reads the self as conduct: the way a person carries what they believe, the bearing that speaks before a word is said.

The I Ching names the tenth hexagram Lü, Treading. Heaven stands above and the lake reflects below, and the figure is one of stepping carefully where a step is dangerous. Wilhelm’s judgment has a man tread on the tiger’s tail, and the tiger does not bite: right conduct carries a person through a hazard that would maul a careless one. Carried into the bodygraph, this becomes behavior as the true measure of self-regard, love of one’s own nature made visible in how one moves.

The family holds three angles. The Right Angle Cross of the Vessel of Love turns inward on its own process, a life spent learning to hold the self with love before offering it to anyone. The Juxtaposition Cross of Behavior is the narrow lane, a fixed fate: conduct as the whole point, a single manner kept whatever the room asks. The Left Angle Cross of Prevention runs transpersonal, a life entangled with others, the correct step taken so that harm, one’s own or another’s, is headed off before it lands.

Practitioners read the gift as authenticity that needs no permission, and the shadow as a rigidity that mistakes one fixed manner for integrity. The tiger stays gentle only while the step stays true.
